Data Policy

The Service collects data across the following four categories:

• Oil change logs: change date, total mileage, oil brand, viscosity, volume, whether the filter was changed, location, reason, and feel changes
• Refuel logs: fill-up date, total mileage, fuel volume, full-tank flag, fuel grade, price, usage context
• Vehicle info: make, model, year, displacement, primary usage
• Mileage: total mileage attached to each log (used to compute change intervals)

We do not attach personal information (name, address, etc.) to submitted data beyond what is needed to operate the account itself (email, optional username).

When statistical data is provided externally, we always apply anonymisation that removes personally identifying information. We do not sell or provide non-anonymised data to third parties.

Submitted data is aggregated and anonymised, then may be published or used as:

• Per-vehicle statistics such as “Average oil-change interval for Honda CB400SF riders: XXX km”
• Per-oil statistics such as “Feel ratings from riders using Motul 300V”
• Analyses of oil degradation by season and usage

These statistics are published free of charge on the Service.

We are considering, in the future, providing anonymised statistical reports to oil and vehicle manufacturers on a paid basis. Even then, we will uphold the following principles:

• No personally identifiable data will be included
• The fact that such reports are provided will be disclosed on the Service
• Users may opt out of statistical use

If you wish to delete submitted data or opt out of statistical use, please contact us using the methods below. We respond within 14 days.

• Deletion request: email us with the submission date and a brief description
• Opt out of statistics: state your intent in an email to the same address

Note: anonymised and aggregated data (which cannot identify individuals) may not be subject to deletion.
